Teamdraft Sim Race Team began in 1999, seeing the need for team cooperation in sim racing as in real motorsports. Jeff Thomas met Les Turner in N3 chat arena and invited him to the league we were currently running in at that time BlackHandRacing, and soon there after invited him to Teamdraft. We have been racing together ever since.
Toward end of 1999 BlackHandRacing League began to fold up, so Teamdraft start GFRL (Green Flag Racing League) with the help of John Woolsey who also ran with Teamdraft for several years. We ran GFRL up until around the end of 2004 if memory serves correct, and at that time shut down the league after the end of that official season.
From there Jeff and Les were invited into iRacing Beta, and participated daily with iRacing helping beta test the software that we all now race that went public in 2008.
The beta was a good time as we had some of the top tier drivers in the beta and the racing was outstanding as we watched iRacing build into what it is today, about 4 years of beta.
2009 Sim Race Drivers Mark Plank, Terry McCuin and David Holzwarth join forces with Teamdraft, to help make our online Sim Racing Team a much stronger unit.. Terry, Mark and David are giving us great support for the ovals both in the garage and on the track. We look forward to posting their results to the public out of the garage, and recommend everyone try their sets. Teamdraft stepping forward in the online racing world in 2009.
Teamdraft members have a good number of league championships under their belts, some iRacing Championships and lots of top 3 championship seasons too, through both league racing and at iRacing.
Over the years we have always made it a point to try and help those new to the sport, as well as anyone strugglin in sim racing. It's been some good karma that has come back to reward us many times over through the years.
We are always open to a new team member that is dedicated to team racing, helping each other both on and off the track, and with setup builds. If you have a desire to become a member email either one of us.
